Jason Michael West

Beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend. Jason transitioned peacefully from this world at his home, attended by his loving family.  He had bravely fought his 4-year battle with metastatic cancer accepting treatments new to the medical community in an effort to help find a cure for this disease. His approach to life was simple: if there was a challenge, he’d meet it head-on, with grit and always a radiant smile.

Jason is survived by his wife, Nicole; children, Chloe (Quinten) Todish-Brill and Mason; Tiberius the loyal; parents, Ann, Steven (Sherry); brother, Brad (Jen); sister-in-law, Dawn (Mike) Olson; in-laws, Tom (Ingrid) Anderson, and a niece, many nephews, friends and fellow seekers.

He graduated from Eden Prairie High School and St. John’s University, where he majored in Spanish – a reflection of his love for language and culture. As a Project Manager for Mortenson Company, Jason found more than a job; he found the opportunity to grow, to build, to provide, and to give. He was proud of the work he did and deeply valued those he did it with.

Jason was full of life, with an irreverent sense of fun and humor, a mind built for problem-solving, and a heart built for exploration.  He was a lover of the outdoors, an avid runner and master fisherman.   But most important to him was his love for Nicole, his children, and the family dog Tiberius.   Jason was surrounded by a loving and supportive family, a community of co-workers, CrossFit friends, soccer families, and neighbors. Wherever he went, Jason cultivated connection, joy, and presence.

Jason’s life will be celebrated with a SendOff service on Friday, June 13. 2025, at Elm Creek Park Reserve Chalet, 12400 James Deane Pkwy, Maple Grove, MN 55369. The SendOff will be open house style from 4:00-8:00pm, with a ceremony at 6:00. Flowers may be sent to Elm Creek Park Reserve Chalet on the day of the service.
