Let Love Grow

People who enjoy gardening have a special awareness and appreciation for certain things that many of us miss. They understand life cycles. They know that plants can rest, grow, produce, and die.

Kay Rothe loved plants so it was fitting that her SendOff be hosted at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. We’re so pleased to have partnered with such a stunningly beautiful place.

Founded in 1958, The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum is a 1,200-acre public garden in Chaska. Each year it attracts more than 500,000 visitors and countless bees and butterflies. It is open and beautiful year-round, a plant lover’s paradise.

A Funeral Can Feel Alive

Most of us have been to plenty of funerals that felt stuffy. Kay’s SendOff was the opposite. It felt very much alive. From the lush natural setting to the DJ and lively conversation, it was a true reflection of her.

Guests were encouraged to take a plant home from “Kay’s Flower Market” and to let love grow.

We hope this SendOff plants a seed. We hope people remember that funerals should fit the person and not the mold. A SendOff can feel live and fresh.
