Debra S. Giles (Phillips)
April 19, 1956 - July 10, 2024
Debra S. Giles, (68), of Nowthen, MN passed away on July 10, 2024, surrounded by her loving family after a battle with cancer. Deb was preceded in death by her father Robert Phillips. She is survived by her devoted husband of 48 years, Pat; two sons Joshua (Nikki) and Jake (Melissa Beyl); grandchildren Lily and Jack; mother, Clarene Phillips; siblings, Tim (Nancy) Phillips, Vicky Karr, Robert Phillips, Tami Schmidt, Jody (Scott) Hess, numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Deb was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and grew up in the northeast suburbs of the Twin Cities where she eventually met her husband Pat. Deb was a vibrant woman, radiating beauty inside and out. Deb was a natural leader, being the eldest of six siblings and the ringleader of her large family. Family gatherings, cooking, and entertaining were Deb's joys, reflecting her generous spirit. She shared her love for the outdoors with Pat and their boys, cherishing moments fishing for walleye. Watching her boys grow up playing sports brought her great happiness, a testament to her own athleticism and love for her sons. Deb was more than an outdoor enthusiast and family woman; she was also a businesswoman. Starting Deb’s Trucking showcased her intelligence and hardworking nature. Deb's life was intertwined with the love and companionship of the four beloved golden retrievers over the years.
The thing she loved most was being a grandma. She was a fun-loving grandma with a youthful, playful spirit who’d be seen cruising around in her Yellow Jeep Wrangler, fondly known as The Banana.
Deb's departure leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to have known and loved her. Her legacy of love and generosity will live on in the memories of all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on August 22, 2024 from 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm at 7 Vines Vineyard, 101 Hwy 96 East, Dellwood, MN.
